Dr Rivka Hoosain is one of the Lead SA heroes. She graduated with her MBChB in 2011 and has since completed her community service years. Despite all odds, she managed to complete her studies and be the first medical doctor in her family.
Apart from her full-time job, she started her own small free clinic for the Tafelsig community where she has started using time during the week in the evenings to offer free consultations to the people of Tafelsig.
